B-flat Piece
(1970)
“B-flat Piece” is a parody of a common 1960’s put-down of conventional band music. It is decidedly not a “B-flat piece,” using graphic notation, improvisation, and a general encouragement of somewhat structured chaos to poke fun at a tired, unfair, and now irrelevant, cliché.
